A Canadian job offer can get extra points or a PNP invitation.

Applicant can claim extra points in the Express Entry system for having a job offer that meets certain conditions if they are immigrating through the points-based Express Entry system. Applicants can get either 50 or 200 additional Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points for having a Canadian job offer. The more CRS points you have, the better chances of getting an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence.

It is not very often that Express Entry candidates are able to obtain these points. Qualified candidates will get a 50-point award for a job that offers under-skilled occupations.

In order to get 200 points, you need to have a job offer in one of six occupations with Noc 00.

Government of Canada invited 775 Express Entry candidates to apply for permanent residence through-a PNP with a cut-off score of 685.

November 10, 2021

Government of Canada invited 775 Express Entry candidates to apply for permanent residence through-a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) with a cut-off score of 685.

The nomination with PNP awards 600 points in CRS, without the nomination, the lowest-scoring candidate would have had just 85 points.

After COVID 19 pandemic, IRCC has been focusing on admitting immigrants who are already in the country. When the Canadian government closed the border, it also closed the door to people who were approved for permanent residence from outside Canada through other categories. They are processing the applications with the job offer under PNP nominations.

British Columbia invited 358 immigration candidates through PNP

October 26, 2021

British Columbia invited 358 immigration candidates through Provincial Nominee Program (PNP).

Candidates from the Skills Immigration (SI) and Express Entry BC (EEBC) streams of the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) received invitations in a regularly held general draw.

More specifically, invitations were issued to those from the Skilled Worker, International Graduate as well as Entry Level and Semi-Skilled sub-categories of SI and EEBC streams.

Manitoba held a new round of invitations on October 21, 2021

The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) invited a total of 459 immigration candidates in three Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs).

Skilled Workers in Manitoba — 388 invitations with a minimum score of 375;
Skilled Workers Overseas — 39 invitations with a minimum score of 716; and
International Education Stream — 37 invitations with no score requirement.
Among these invitations, 94 went to candidates in the Express Entry system.

If you want to benefit from a nomination from Manitoba, you need to register an Expression of Interest (EOI) with the MPNP. This puts you in a position to receive an LAA through the Skilled Workers in Manitoba and Skilled Workers Overseas streams.

Manitoba then ranks candidates out of 1,000 points for their human capital factors, as well as their connections to the province.

The Skilled Workers Overseas Category and Skilled Workers in Manitoba categories are designed to allow the province to identify candidates who meet its labour market needs.

Candidates overseas need to demonstrate connections to Manitoba through the likes of close family ties, previous experience in the province, or an invitation through one of Manitoba’s Strategic Recruitment Initiatives. You do not need to be living in Manitoba at the time of your application to be eligible.
