Big Breaking: International Students work hour rules changed in Canada!

Minister Marc Miller attended a press conference today to discuss the new rules addressing overseas students' off-campus working hours in Canada.

Minister Miller has announced an increase in off-campus employment hours for overseas students while classes are in session from 20 to 24 hours beginning in September 2024.

The work hours limit will be reduced to 20 per week until September, since the government can make a permanent change to 24 hours.

Overseas students are free to work as many hours as they choose during the summer and winter breaks.

The current temporary full-time job regime will not be extended beyond April 30, 2024.
