Sponsoring the application of a parent or grandparent’s Permanent Resident visa can take around 4 years of minimum time. By the time you are waiting for the processing of the permanent resident visa application, parents and/or grandparents of the Canadian permanent residents or citizens are allowed to apply for the Super Visa that usually has 8 to 10 weeks of the processing period.

Proof of family ties
Along with the application, you will have to submit proof of your family ties, such as your birth certificate, and how are you related to the sponsor.
Travel document
Passport is a must-have travel document whenever you are travelling abroad.
Invitation Letter
The Sponsor (Your child or grandchild) must generate an invitation letter and send it to you in order to apply for this program.
Remember that some visa offices may ask you for a notary to notarize your Invitation Letter.
Travel Insurance
On the contrary to other types of visas, a Super Visa application is required to submit proof of all-inclusive travel insurance covered of $100,000 minimum by a Canadian Insurer.
Medical Examination
All the Super Visa applicants are required to undergo a medical examination and submit their health status report along with the application concerning the ability to be eligible to apply for the Parents and Grandparents’ Super Visa.
