All the eligible applicants are required to have a valid temporary Canadian residential status.
If you wish to qualify for the AOS, you are required to be working in an eligible occupation in the province of Alberta.
Most of the occupations falling under the NOC (National Occupational Classification) referring to the skill levels 0, A, B, C and D are considered eligible under the AINP.
An applicant must meet the minimum of level 4 of the Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) either in English or in French.
With effect from January 1st, 2020 the level of the language requirement has been increased to CLB level 5 for all the interested applicants.
An applicant must meet the education requirement of having completed high school education at the minimum in their country of origin.
With effect from January 1st, 2021 all the applicants will be required to have completed at least the high school education which is equivalent to the educational standards of Alberta.
