Newfoundland & Labrador Provincial Nominee Program.

The province consists of two distinct landmasses: Labrador, which is connected to the mainland, and the island of Newfoundland. A large number of its residents live in the provincial capital of St. John’s, which enjoys a lively culture that draws heavily from its coastal environment.

The province has recently evolved into a significant economic force in the Canadian landscape due to a boom in energy and natural resources.

The NLPNP is Newfoundland and Labrador’s Provincial Nominee Program. Prospective immigrants with the skills and experience targeted by the province, applicants may receive a Newfoundland and Labrador provincial nomination to apply for permanent residency.

The NLPNP having the following immigration categories:

Express Entry Skilled Worker Category

Any skilled worker working at Skill 0, A, or B level jobs framed by NOC with a valid job offer and are a part of the federal Express Entry pool are expected to become eligible for this stream where they can apply for the Canadian PR under this stream of NLPNP.

Skilled Worker Category

Under this stream, NLPNP welcomes all the workers having experience of various NOC Skill Levels along with a valid as well as a guaranteed job offer from an eligible employer in Newfoundland and Labrador province. An applicant is required to have a special skill set that is demanded by a job, offered by an eligible employer in the province.

International Graduate Category

All the applicants who graduated from eligible post-secondary educational institutes and who are willing to stay and work on a Post Graduate Work Permit (PGWP) in Canada, becomes eligible to apply for Canadian PR under this stream of NLPNP. All the graduate applicants are required to be currently employed or must have a valid job offer related to their field of study from an eligible employer in Newfoundland and Labrador province.

Priority Skills NL

The Priority Skills NL process is intended for individuals who have work experience in occupations in demand in Newfoundland and Labrador, as well as have a high level of education and language ability, and who wish to express their interest in either staying in or coming to the province and becoming a permanent resident of Canada.

Atlantic Pilot Project (Atlantic Immigration Pilot - AIP)

Newfoundland and Labrador province has participated in the Atlantic Pilot Project (Atlantic Immigration Pilot - AIP). The Atlantic Pilot Project is designed to focus on the economic growth of Canada. The Atlantic Pilot Project is a result of the federal government partnering with Atlantic provinces in Canada. The Atlantic Pilot Project offers immigration to all the newcomers or beginners who already have a valid job offer from an eligible employer in the Canadian Atlantic region.

International Entrepreneur Category

The International Entrepreneur category is intended for experienced business owners or senior business managers who wish to permanently reside in Newfoundland and Labrador. They must start a new business or buy an existing business and must actively participate in the day-to-day management of the business. After operating the business for at least one continuous year, the international entrepreneur may be nominated for permanent resident status.

International Graduate Entrepreneur Category

The International Graduate Entrepreneur category is intended for graduates of Memorial University or College of the North Atlantic who has already started or bought a local business and maintained day-to-day operations for at least one continuous year. In order to receive a nomination for permanent resident status, the graduate entrepreneur must fulfill certain criteria outlined by the Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism.
