The Labour Market Priorities stream of NSNP focusses mainly on the Express Entry applicants having a decent work experience while working at a highly demanded position in the Nova Scotia province. Since August 2018, the Labour Market Priorities stream of NSNP only accepts the applications from those individuals who have the experience working as Early Childhood Educators and Assistants as classified by NOC 4214.

Express Entry Requirement

To be eligible to apply for Nova Scotia Labour Market Priorities Stream under NSNP an applicant must have been registered with an active Express Entry profile to become eligible to apply under this stream. Applicants who have qualified one of the three programs mentioned below; make them eligible to apply and submit their application under this stream of NSNP.

  • Federal Skilled Trades,
  • Federal Skilled Worker,
  • Canadian Experience Class.

Language Proficiency & Education

Applicants are required to appear for the language proficiency test in English or French, and submit their test scores along with their application. The Nova Scotia province often particularly selects the applicant proficient in the French language. However, this happens sometimes and not always. Applicants applying under this stream are required to fulfil the minimum requirements listed by the Express Entry Program for language proficiency and education.

Work Experience

To be eligible to apply for Nova Scotia Labour Market Priorities Stream under NSNP an applicant is required to have work experience in a particular job or field of work. The list of eligible occupations tends to change and update on a regular basis and are announced by the Nova Scotia province. Applicants applying under this stream are required to fulfil the minimum requirements for work-experience as listed in their Express Entry program.
