An applicant is required to have a valid job offer from an eligible employer in the Nova Scotia province in order to become eligible to apply for the Nova Scotia Skilled Worker stream under NSNP. A valid job offer must come from an eligible business owner having a permanent residency status in the Nova Scotia province and must have been actively operating from past 2 years. The job offer will only be considered valid if an employer provides the proof that they were unable to find any Canadian citizen or a Permanent Resident to fill the vacant position.
If a valid job is offered at the skill level C or D as listed by NOC, an applicant must have a minimum work experience of 6 months working with an eligible employer in the Nova Scotia province. Applicants are required to demonstrate a minimum 1-year of full-time work experience in the same field as the new job offered to them.
All the applicants having a job offer of Skill Level 0, A, or B framed by NOC are exempted from the language proficiency test requirement. The applicants speaking English or French as their second language are required to appear for the language proficiency test, and submit their test scores along with their application.
The applicants having a job offer of Skill Level 0, A, or B framed by NOC are required to obtain a minimum of CLB level 5 in language proficiency test to become eligible to apply under this stream. All the applicants having a job offer of Skill Level C or D framed by NOC are required to obtain a minimum of CLB level 4 in language proficiency test to become eligible to apply under this stream.
All the applicants are required to have adequate education such as a Canadian high school diploma or any of the equivalent degrees.
Applicants are required to demonstrate a minimum 1-year of full-time work experience in the same field as the new job offered to them.
All the applicants are required to fulfil the settlement funds requirement as listed by IRCC.
