The BC PNP Entrepreneur Immigration (EI) stream is for experienced entrepreneurs who are ready to invest in and actively manage a business in B.C. An applicant who is ready to start new businesses or take over and grow existing businesses in B.C.
To apply under this category, an applicant needs to submit an Expression of Interest, must be invited to apply to submit a full application.
Entrepreneur Immigration – Regional Pilot: working with regional communities, this pilot is intended to attract entrepreneurs to participating regional communities to establish new businesses that align with the communities’ economic development priorities.
Under this stream, investors/Entrepreneurs are allowed to establish a business in a community with a population of fewer than 75,000 located more than 30 kilometres. This program is a pilot project for two years and launched on March 14, 2019.
International entrepreneurs approved through the Entrepreneur Immigration (EI) Regional Pilot will be eligible to get a work permit to settle and run a business in British Columbia for at least 12 months.
Foreign-controlled businesses can establish an operation in British Columbia through this category. It is possible to appoint up to five key international administrative, professional or technical staff members to apply for permanent residence in the province.
