The Express Entry system is Canada’s primary stream of skilled foreign workers, it was in place since 2015 in Canada Immigration system. EE system has Canada’s three federal high-skilled immigration programs — the Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Trades Program, and Canadian Experience Class.
Eligible candidates for each program are award points under Express Entry’s Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS), for factors such as age, education, skilled work experience, and English or French proficiency. A job offer is not a mandatory requirement under these categories but surely get additional points to the candidate.
A set number of the highest-scoring candidates are issued an invitation to apply for permanent residence through draws from the EE pool, which take place every two to three weeks.
The Government of Canada has a processing standard of six months for permanent residence applications filed through the Express Entry system which is considered as the fastest process in all stream.
