The 11th New All-Program Express Entry Draw was held in Canada.

In the most recent all-program Express Entry draw, Canada issued an additional 3,500 Invitations to Apply.

The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System score for the April 26 draw was 483, which was three points lower than the previous all-program draw on April 12.

This was Canada's seventh all-program Express Entry draw in 2023, with the first two each receiving 5,500 ITAs, the next three receiving 7,000, and the last two receiving 3,500. It has also held one draw for Federal Skilled Worker candidates and three draws for Provincial Nominee Program candidates.

After inviting 45,115 candidates in total in 2022, Canada has now issued 45,260 ITAs in 2023.

In this week’s PNP draws, British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Prince Edward Island all invite candidates.

This week, five provinces invited candidates to apply for provincial nomination.

Each year, the federal government publishes the total number of PNP nominations and divides it among the provinces in the Immigration Levels Plan. The current immigration levels plan calls for 117,500 new permanent residents to be admitted each year through the PNP by 2025.

  • British Columbia

In the most recent BC PNP draw, held on April 18, more than 203 candidates were invited.

In a general draw, the largest draw invited 158 candidates from five streams, implying that no occupations were targeted. Candidates in the skilled worker category (including Express Entry) needed a minimum score of 104.

  • Alberta

The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) has held two draws in April so far, with the results only being released this week. Candidates with profiles in the Express Entry application management system received invitations.
The first drawing was held on April 5. The Designated Healthcare Pathway: Alberta Job Offer stream invited 53 candidates with Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores ranging from 300-600.

The second was on April 18 and invited 68 candidates with CRS scores ranging from 300 to 700 from the Sector priority - Agriculture occupation with Alberta job offer stream.

  • Saskatchewan

Saskatchewan invited a total of 1067 candidates through the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program on April 20. (SINP). 444 were nominated from the in-demand occupations category, while the remaining 623 were Express Entry candidates.

A minimum score of 69 was required for all candidates.

  • Manitoba

On April 17, Manitoba invited 28 Ukrainian candidates in accordance with Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada's (IRCC) special immigration measures for those affected by the region's current unrest.

  • Prince Edward Island

In the most recent draw of the PEI PNP, held on April 20, 189 candidates were invited. Among those invited, 180 were from the Labour and Express streams, with the remaining nine nominees from the Business and Entrepreneur streams meeting the minimum point threshold of 72.

In the First two months of 2023, immigration to Canada increased by 40%.

  • Canada welcomed 100,430 new permanent residents in January and February, compared to 72,815 in the first two months of 2022, a record year for immigration to Canada.
  • Canada has planned 485,000 new permanent residents in 2024 and another 500,000 in 2025 in its Immigration Levels Plan for 2023-2025.

Month on month, immigration to Canada fell by 2.6% in February, to 49,550 new permanent residents, compared to 50,885 newcomers the previous month, a record-breaking January.

Economic programmes, such as the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP), Agri-Food Immigration Pilot Program (AFIP), Canadian Experience Class (CEC), Caregiver programmes, Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot Program (RNIP), Federal Skilled Trades (FST) and Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) programmes, Start-Up Visa (SUV) and Self-Employed Persons (SEP) programmes, and the Temporary Resident to Permanent Resident Pathway,

In 2022, these programmed will have assisted 93,795 new permanent residents to arrive in Ontario. Another 46,610 new permanent residents arrived in Ontario as a result of family sponsorship, while 39,765 arrived as a result of Canada's refugee programmers.

The IRCC held the first Express Entry draw of the month of April and issued 3,500 Invitations to Apply.

In an all-program draw, Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) issued 3,500 invitations to apply (ITAs) to candidates. The cut-off score for the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) was 486. Candidates from the Canadian Experience Class (CEC), the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), and the Federal Skilled Trades Program are considered in an all-program draw (FSTP).

This is the fourth Express Entry draw in a row, in last three draw 7,000 candidates invited consecutively. The March 29 draw also had the lowest CRS cut-off score since December 2020, at 481.

In the history of Express Entry, March was an unprecedented month. Over four draws, the IRCC distributed 21,667 ITAs. This was the second-highest monthly total since the launch of Express Entry in January 2015. In February 2021, IRCC invited 27,332 candidates in a single draw targeting Canadian Experience Class candidates, breaking the record for the most candidates invited in a single month.

Today's draw comes after three of the second-largest Express Entry draws in history. The first was on March 15, when 7,000 candidates with a CRS score of 490 were invited.

After inviting 45,115 candidates in total in 2022, Canada has now issued 41,760 ITAs in 2023.

Recent Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) Draw: 889 Invitations Were Issued in 3 Streams.

889 invitations to apply for permanent residency (PR) under three separate streams were distributed today by the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program - OINP Draw.
Under the OINP Masters Graduate Program, 752 ITAs are distributed. A score of 52 or above qualified applicants for this round of invites.

Moreover, 131 ITAs have been sent to candidates who qualified for the OINP PhD Graduate stream with a score of 48 or higher.

Six skilled refugees who were beneficiaries of the EMPP also received ITAs under the Foreign Worker Stream. For this category, there was no set cutoff score.

OINP took into account all three of the aforementioned streams' profiles that were produced between November 22, 2022, and April 4, 2023.
