Canada Immigration News: SNIP Invites 272 Express Entry Candidates & 262 Occupations In-Demand

The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) issued candidates from the International Skilled Worker category through two subcategories: Express Entry, and Occupations In-Demand.

Total of 534 invitations to immigration candidates with a minimum cut-off score of 68.

Out of 534 invitation, 272 invited under Express Entry candidates with 68 points. There were 47 occupations included in the draw under the Express Entry subcategory.

The Canadian Government Plans to Bring-in More than 1.2 Million Immigrants

The Canadian government plans to bring in more than 1.2 million immigrants over the next three years, despite hurdles created by the global pandemic.
Immigration Minister Marco Mendicino unveiled what he called an "ambitious" three-year immigration plan today that set targets for bringing skilled workers, family members, and refugees into Canada, and it will target the highest level of immigration in its history.
Over the coming three years, Canada will aim to welcome the following level of new permanent residents:
2021: 401,000 immigrants
2022: 411,000 immigrants
2023: 421,000 immigrants

Government of Quebec has released details of three pilot permanent immigration programs for 2021

The Government of Quebec has released details of three pilot permanent immigration programs that will be implemented in 2021.

- The pilot program for orderlies;
- The pilot program for workers in the artificial intelligence (AI), information technologies (IT) and visual effects sectors;
- The pilot program for workers in food processing (FP).
The pilot program for orderlies will allow up to 550 principal applicants with family per year to be selected to work as nurses aides and beneficiary attendants in Quebec.

The five years pilot program for workers in food processing will provide a pathway to permanent immigration for temporary foreign workers working in the food processing sector. Under this pilot program; 550 eligible workers and their families will be selected each year.

The third pilot program covers the artificial intelligence, information technology and visual effects sectors. Like the other two previous pilot projects, this pilot will also for five years and will select up to 550 people with their families.

Bilingual Candidates will Now Get 50 Points (Canada Immigration News)

Canada’s immigration minister, Marco Mendicino, announced that French-speaking and bilingual candidates will receive additional points under the Express Entry system and Francophone category.

French-speaking candidates will now receive 25 additional points for their language skills, up from 15. Bilingual candidates will now get 50 points, compared to 30.

British Columbia, PNP Draw Invites through the Express Entry BC (EEBC) and Skills Immigration Streams

British Columbia held its weekly Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw and issued 354 invitations through the Express Entry BC (EEBC) and Skills Immigration streams.

Candidates were invited under the Skilled Worker, International Graduate, and Entry-Level and Semi-Skilled subcategories.
