At Least 172 Invitations to Immigrate to Canada Are Issued By British Columbia In A Fresh PNP Draw.

British Columbia has held New draws, sending out at least 172 invites via various British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program streams.

There were two types of drawings on May 2: general and targeted.

133 invites were sent out through five BC PNP streams for skilled employees and international graduates in the general draw, which covered tech occupations. The minimum scores were between 85 and 107 points.

Additional 22 invitations were sent out for the targeted draw to qualified candidates and foreign graduates who received at least 60 points in the draw for Early Childhood Educators and Assistants under NOC 42202.

A draw for healthcare employees resulted in 16 invites being sent to skilled workers, foreign graduates, entry-level and semi-skilled workers, and anyone else who scored at least 60 points.

In a draw for other priority occupations under NOCs 31103 and 32104, all of which required 60 points, skilled workers and international graduates received less than 5 invites as part of the final batch. To safeguard the privacy of individuals who were invited, the number was noted as being less than 5.

The most recent BC PNP Draw 2023 invites 168 people to apply for PR.

The British Columbia Provincial Nomination Program (BC PNP Draw) issued 168 invitations to apply (ITAs) for permanent residency(PR) today.

Invitations for permanent residency (PR) are being issued under the Skilled Worker, International Graduates, and Express Entry British Columbia (EEBC) categories, as is customary.

The BC PNP draw held today was aimed at profiles with experience or a job offer in 39 healthcare-related occupations/NOCs and 35 NOCs related to technology.

When compared to the April 11 targeted BC PNP draw, the cutoff score for Tech occupations/NOCs increased by 5 points.

However, the cutoff score of healthcare and childhood educators have been mostly constant at the lowest level of 60.

This indicates that there are not much profiles created with healthcare related occupations as well as for childhood educators.

In this week’s PNP draws, British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Prince Edward Island all invite candidates.

This week, five provinces invited candidates to apply for provincial nomination.

Each year, the federal government publishes the total number of PNP nominations and divides it among the provinces in the Immigration Levels Plan. The current immigration levels plan calls for 117,500 new permanent residents to be admitted each year through the PNP by 2025.

  • British Columbia

In the most recent BC PNP draw, held on April 18, more than 203 candidates were invited.

In a general draw, the largest draw invited 158 candidates from five streams, implying that no occupations were targeted. Candidates in the skilled worker category (including Express Entry) needed a minimum score of 104.

  • Alberta

The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) has held two draws in April so far, with the results only being released this week. Candidates with profiles in the Express Entry application management system received invitations.
The first drawing was held on April 5. The Designated Healthcare Pathway: Alberta Job Offer stream invited 53 candidates with Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores ranging from 300-600.

The second was on April 18 and invited 68 candidates with CRS scores ranging from 300 to 700 from the Sector priority - Agriculture occupation with Alberta job offer stream.

  • Saskatchewan

Saskatchewan invited a total of 1067 candidates through the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program on April 20. (SINP). 444 were nominated from the in-demand occupations category, while the remaining 623 were Express Entry candidates.

A minimum score of 69 was required for all candidates.

  • Manitoba

On April 17, Manitoba invited 28 Ukrainian candidates in accordance with Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada's (IRCC) special immigration measures for those affected by the region's current unrest.

  • Prince Edward Island

In the most recent draw of the PEI PNP, held on April 20, 189 candidates were invited. Among those invited, 180 were from the Labour and Express streams, with the remaining nine nominees from the Business and Entrepreneur streams meeting the minimum point threshold of 72.

In the second draw in eight days, Canada invites another 7,000 Express Entry candidates.

The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System score for the March 23 all-program draw was 484, which was six points lower than the minimum score for the March 15 all-program draw.

The two drawings with 7,000 ITAs that took place in the last week are the biggest ever for all programmes, coming in second only to the one-time Covid-inspired draw in February 2021 that resulted in the issuance of 27,332 invitations to applicants for the Canada Experience Class.

In comparison to the first two draws, which each had 5,500 ITAs, this was Canada's fourth all-program Express Entry draw in 2023. Additionally, it has held three draws specifically for Provincial Nominee Program candidates and one draw for Federal Skilled Worker candidates.

After inviting 45,115 applicants throughout all of 2022, Canada has now issued 31,260 ITAs in 2023.
