Canada’s First Ever Express Entry Category based Targeted draw.

In the most recent Express Entry draw for 2023, Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has invited additional individuals.

The government issued invitations to apply to 1,500 individuals in the first ever targeted category based Express Entry lottery for candidates in the trades on August 3rd. The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score required was 388.

With 4,300 invitations to apply already issued, the prospects of IRCC holding another lottery this week for the remaining 500-700 places are slim.

However, the IRCC may announce an Agriculture or Transportation draw to fill these positions.
